Since taking office in 2018, the Governor has signed sweeping wage and hour legislation including arguably the nation’s most aggressive wage theft law. Changes to existing laws now make it easier for the Department of Labor to find joint employer and successor employer liability, increasing significantly civil and criminal liability for failing to pay wages, and granting the Commissioner of Labor extraordinary powers to address violations such as suspending a business’ licenses or shutting a business down all together.
Attendees of this webinar will learn about the new laws regulating your wage and hour obligations, as well as best practices for operating in radically changed work environments due to COVID-19.
